Numbers can't tell
the whole story.

We are individuals that do great things on a massive scale.

It’s only natural that when you deal in mass production, numbers tend to be the most tangible method of comprehension. But in all that math it’s easy to lose sight of what really defines us. Our associates. We are much more than Honda’s seventh North American auto assembly plant, we are individuals that together do great things on a massive scale.

Quick Facts

Soichiro Honda understood the importance of the individual when he founded the company all those years ago. His creed of Respect for the Individual still resonates clearly. In this About Us section we’ve included the pertinent facts and figures (they are listed below), but it’s the associates who get top billing. They drive our quality, which in turn drives consumer desire for our products. And that makes all things possible, like our commitment to improving our communities and neighborhoods.

Honda Civic Hatchback

Honda Civic Hatchback

The most fun-to-drive, sporty and comfortable Civic Hatchback ever.

With its Euro-inspired design, sportier driving character and exceptional versatility, the all-new 2022 Civic Hatchback features all the style and performance young buyers look for in a sports car.

As one of only two Honda plants globally to build the 2022 Civic Hatchback, the Indiana Auto Plant (IAP) in Greensburg prepared for mass production with a $50.2 million expansion and upgrade. Highlights include the use of high-performance structural adhesives for improved body rigidity, safety and performance; acoustic spray foam for enhanced cabin quietness; and a new lightweight resin hatch that replaces the previous steel structure for a more coupe-like design and higher fuel economy.

The result is a hatchback like no other.

Building on the Civic Sedan's clean and simple exterior design, the Civic Hatchback introduces five-door versatility and a more dynamic driving experience thanks to an upgraded 6-speed manual transmission available with both the 2.0-liter and 1.5-liter turbocharged engines.

Inside, the 2022 Civic Hatchback impresses drivers equally with a clean design accentuated by intuitive ergonomics, improved outward visibility and the largest back seat ever in a Civic Hatchback.

Every 2022 Civic Hatchback also reflects Honda’s commitment to safety. New, cutting-edge technologies include Honda's next-gen driver and front passenger airbags, rear seat side airbags, Honda Sensing® with Traffic Jam Assist and a new front bumper beam safety plate.

The all-new 2022 Civic Hatchback takes the Honda lineup of vehicles to new a level of style, performance and driving fun.

Honda CR-V

America’s best-selling SUV comes to Indiana

In February 2017, the Indiana Auto Plant added a new milestone to its growing list of accomplishments: mass production of the 2017 Honda CR-V.

All new and completely redesigned, reimagined and re-engineered, the fifth generation of America’s best-selling SUV represented a major vote of confidence in the Indiana Auto Plant, a facility for achieving that only began mass production in 2009.

The new CR-V boasts bold and sophisticated new styling, a more spacious, versatile and premium-quality interior, the model’s first-ever available turbocharged engine, and a host of new features and technologies for improved connectivity, comfort and convenience.

Based on an all-new platform architecture, the new CR-V also targets the highest levels of quality and driving refinement in its class, including top-in-class cabin quietness, steering precision, ride comfort and body control — all designed to imbue the CR-V with a polished, fun-to-drive persona.

Unsurprisingly for a vehicle packed with segment-busting quality, features and performance, the 2017 CR-V was recently chosen as one of Car and Driver magazine’s 10 Best Trucks and SUVs for 2017.
